The most underrated way to learn

Most of our learnings are hiding in plain sight in our past experiences.

Knowing this, it’s worth developing a habit of reflection.

What does that look like?

Consider these three questions:

  1. What are my overall thoughts and feelings?
  2. What specifically went well?
  3. What specifically might I improve next time?

This simple framework allows you to capture insights, close the loop on learnings, process feedback and give yourself permission to change your mind.

You can use it at the end of any meeting, project, job, conference, day, month, year, relationship, friendship, holiday and anything in between.

It’s one of the most effective ways to learn, grow and avoid going full Homer Simpson.
